WHAT CAN I SEE?

Home to tranquil turquoise waters and an abundance of spectacular marine life, Big Lagoon connects Denham Sound to the majestic Francois Peron National Park. As its name suggests, it is a large lagoon where you will witness rays, turtles, sharks and dolphins ambling through the shallow and crystal-clear waters. For those who are a bit more adventurous, Sunset Hill offers a bird’s eye view of the lagoon, where you can truly appreciate the size and scenery from a rarely seen perspective. History buffs will also be able to learn about the history of Leon Krasker, a local pearler at Krasker’s Tank and the amazing story of the National Park, before finally relaxing with a dip in the artesian hot tub.
